The Urban Development Committee of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce vists the Future City exhibition “The Line”.

The Urban Development Council of the Jeddah Chamber visited the Future City Exhibition “The Line” in Jeddah to reflect the extent of the Council’s interest in this project and to confirm its role in the field of development, especially for such huge projects, in the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Council, Eng. Khaled Bashwair and members of the Council

The activities of NEOM’s exhibition for the city of the future, “The Line,” continued for 14 days, including 50 tours daily in living modern life with its architectural designs and engineering displays for the innovative city, at its headquarters in the “Jeddah Superdome.” The exhibition allocated its visitors with guides in Arabic and English to introduce them to the architectural and engineering features and capabilities of “The Line”, and to learn closely the idea of the designs directly.

The exhibition will be held after its first stop in Jeddah, in the Eastern Province, then the capital, Riyadh. The city will be built on an area not exceeding 34 square kilometers, as this small area compared to other cities will contribute to preserving 95% of NEOM’s natural lands. It will also accommodate about 9 million people, which is completely unprecedented in cities of this size.

The designs of “The Line” city also reflect what urban communities will be like in the future in an environment free of streets, cars and emissions, and dependent on 100% renewable energy, making human health and well-being an absolute priority, instead of the priority of transportation and infrastructure as in traditional cities.
